In Search of Lawrence

An award-winning film about one of the greatest military heroes of the 20th century. Explorer and former SAS member Michael Asher is writing a biography of TE Lawrence. He wants to check the truth of Lawrence's accounts of his exploits by retracing his footsteps using the same methods of transport, equipment and resources available to his hero. Asher journeys with his wife, Mariantonietta Peru, through the deepest deserts of Arabia and finds, untouched since Lawrence's day, remnants of his campaigns and his life, including destroyed Turkish military trains.
