Adel Karim

Adel al-Abdulkarim is a board member of ORTV and Director of Middle East Affairs. He has been the executive producer of a wide range of documentaries, commercials, advertising campaigns and news features both in the Middle East and the UK. His clients have included BBC TV, PBS, APTN, the New York Times and the government of Saudi Arabia. He was educated in Riyadh and at the University of Southern California. In Saudi Arabia he set up and managed the first privately-owned news agency and went on to manage Madarat, the country's leading independent TV production company. Madarat opened the first satellite-linked studio facility in Riyadh and rapidly became an invaluable service for international networks including ABC, CNN, and BBC World. Adel has also designed training courses to promote media skills in the Arab world.
