Abdul Rahman Al Rashed

Abdul Rahman Al Rashed is the founder and chairman of ORTV. He is also general manager of Al Arabiya news channel, the leading station in the Middle East. He's worked for various TV stations, including Future and MBC TV, and has been a presenter of talk shows. He was the producer of the investigative programme 'The Third Eye' and of major documentaries made by ORTV. Al Rashed spent many years working as a print journalist in London. For five years he was Editor-in-Chief for the largest pan-Arab daily newspaper, Asharq Al Awsat. Prior to that he managed the weekly magazine Al Majalla from London. He worked as a foreign correspondent in Washington till 1985. Al Rashed is well-known as a daily columnist for Al Sharq Al Awsat, where his controversial opinions encourage heated debate.
